Sorry technology was being weird and wouldn’t let me copy and paste.

I really enjoyed this book. It took me a little while to finish but I loved it. I feel like the story does take a little while to get to the point but all of the information and everything that happens in the book is somewhat important to the story. So definitely be patient at the beginning of the book.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the romance in this book. But the romance isn’t really the whole point of the books so I was forgiving. I just didn’t really like the love interest.

My favorite thing about this book is the body positivity in the book. At the beginning our main character Willowdean is very self conscious of her weight and her figure. Throughout the course of the book she comes to terms with loving her body and realizes that she needs to love herself first.

I think this is SO important! Everyone goes through times where they don’t feel confident in themselves or the way they look. I think this book can really help someone who is struggling to love themselves.

The reason why I am only giving this book a four star rating even though I loved it is because I wish we had gotten to see more of the beauty pageant. Other than that this book was great! I would highly recommend it!

There is also a movie, which I have not watched yet but I would love to!

I loved this book and would recommend reading it. There is also a second book which follows two of the characters in this story but Williowdean is not the main character. For that reason I am not going to read the second book as it doesn’t really interest me. But the first book is definitely a must read!
